Bayhealth and PAM Health Rehabilitation announced Oct. 3 the opening of their joint venture, a freestanding rehabilitation hospital located at 202 Healthy Way in Milford.
Soon, current patients from the Bayhealth Sussex Campus fourth floor will be transferred to the new inpatient rehabilitation hospital.
“This sort of encapsulates what we have done,” said Brittany Misitano, president of PAM Health. “We have 80 hospitals nationwide, and Delaware is the standard for how we want those 80 hospitals to operate. We have one in Dover, one in Georgetown, and I’m very proud to bring this new building to the community. We have a really great team here and I’m very confident in the staff.”
“We are extremely grateful for the partnership which allowed us to open this 40-bed facility here in Milford,” said Erin DelFarno, market director of strategic initiatives for Delaware PAM Health. “We are the only acute, hospital-level rehabilitation facility in Kent and Sussex counties. As a lifelong Sussex County resident myself, I know how important it is for our population to have access to the level of care.”
