September 15, 2024

The Beachcomber Corvette Club of Southern Delaware held its annual charity car show Aug. 17 at First State Chevrolet in Georgetown.

Although the weather was a little iffy, more than 80 owners registered vehicles and competed for 32 trophies. Best in Show recognition went to a 1958 Corvette owned by Rick Ecalono. A 1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Wagon, owned by Art Klein, won the Dealer’s Choice trophy.

More than $2,500 was raised for the two charities that will benefit from show proceeds: Pathways to Success and the Delaware Tech Scholarship Fund.
