Beacon honor society celebrates school lunch heroes

In honor of National School Lunch Hero Day, members of the Beacon Middle School National Junior Honor Society surprised cafeteria staff members May 6.
Alyssa Thompson, NJHS advisor at Beacon, coordinated the surprise while students took time to create a special thank-you banner and delivered treats to show their appreciation.
National School Lunch Hero Day is celebrated the first Friday in May each year.
