The Milford Middle School Bucs and the Beacon Middle School Vikings basketball teams tipped off Jan. 12, and when the final buzzer sounded, the Beacon girls dropped a 48-27 game to the visiting Bucs squad. In the second game, the Beacon boys fell to the Bucs 45-20.
In the girls' action, Tess Bernheimer led all Vikings scorers with 12 points, while Allison Palmer tallied eight and Reilly Shields scored four.
