Former Cape all-star Dom Scott made her Beacon coaching debut Sept. 26 with a 7-0 win over Seaford. She and her team then tallied a 1-0 victory over Sussex Academy Sept. 28.
“It was incredible,” said Scott. “People coming off the bench did a really, really, really good job of supporting those who were still on the field. There wasn’t really a let-down at all. We’ve practiced for a month, and everything we practiced just came together. I’m really proud of the team.”
Noelle Sabbagh and Riley Klopp each had two goals in the Vikings’ victory. Emily Monigle, Addy Leonhartt and Ally Best each had a single tally in the contest. Sabbagh helped on two goals and Monigle, Leonhartt and Best each had one assist.
Haley Craig scored the lone goal in the 1-0 victory over Sussex Academy, with an assist by Sabbagh.
Beacon will travel to Delmar Monday, Oct. 3, to try to tame the Wildcats.
