Beacon students hold AVID Awareness and College Fair Night

Beacon Middle School's AVID program hosted its inaugural Awareness and College Fair Night April 19. Beacon staff members demonstrated different AVID strategies used in the classroom. The sixth-graders also created and displayed college knowledge boards that offered information about local and surrounding colleges. Delaware State University alumni representatives Bernard Carr and Elizabeth Allen were present to showcase all Delaware State University has to offer.
