Beau Biden Foundation Golf Invitational kicks off with cocktail reception

The Beau Biden Foundation kick-off reception for the Sussex County Golf Invitational was held at Hyatt Place in Dewey Beach, on April 4. The golf outing is scheduled for May 20, at Peninsula Golf and Country Club in Millsboro. Register online at beaubidenfoundation.org/sussexgolf.

The foundation’s programs began in Delaware and expanded to 16 states. Through partnerships and education, the group is speaking to adults and children to prevent child abuse, develop welfare professionals and strengthen child protection laws. 

School Resource Officer Joey Melvin is very involved in protecting children. "I had the opportunity to see firsthand the impact Beau had as he traveled to schools and personally spread messages of kindness and encouragement to our young people. Beau’s passion to protect our children was evident, and I cannot think of a more impactful legacy than the establishment of this wonderful foundation," he said.
