In late April, Bed Bath & Beyond announced it was filing for bankruptcy and closing all its retail stores. Not long after, a bright yellow “STORE CLOSING!” banner was added to the front of the Rehoboth Beach location.

“All Bed Bath & Beyond stores are closing! Everything in store is on sale and must be sold! Shop now and save while selections are best. All sales final. Discounts valid in stores only. Visit store for complete details,” reads a statement on the company’s Facebook page.

Located in the Rehoboth Gateway development off Route 1, Bed Bath & Beyond opened in June 2016 at the same time as Wawa and The Fresh Market.

According to signage on the doors, coupons and rewards are no longer accepted. Signage also says purchases made before April 26 may be returned through Wednesday, May 24; all sales after April 26 are final and no returns will be accepted.
