Bests open ACE Hardware in Long Neck
A new Best Ace Hardware
recently opened in the former Short’s Marine building behind the County Bank on Long Neck Road. The store offers a blend of nationally recognized customer service and quality home-improvement products to the residents of Long Neck and the surrounding areas.
The store has been designed to reflect the needs of the Long Neck community, including solutions to everyday home-improvement needs, as well as an extensive array of high-quality products in categories such as paint, and lawn and garden.
“Our mission is to provide customers with convenience and service through our expert advice and assistance,” said Randy Best, owner. “We look forward to becoming a helpful and valuable neighbor to the community.”
The 12,000-square-foot store is packed with thousands of essential products and supplies, including brand names and best-selling items in the home-improvement marketplace, such as Benjamin Moore, Weber, Kwikset, DeWalt, Delta, GE and Craftsman. Key product offerings include paint, lawn and garden, hardware, electrical, plumbing, automotive and home décor as well as niche products such as fishing, birdseed and feeders, and mobile home products.
In the spring, it will also offer a full line of lawn-and-garden products, including bedding plants, perennials, herbs, mulch, patio block, fertilizers, grass seed and garden chemicals in the 18,000-square-foot garden center. Best Ace Hardware is known for the extra services it provides, such as key cutting, computer paint matching, lock rekeying, window and screen repair, blade sharpening and propane tank exchanges.
The Long Neck Best Ace Hardware is the fifth store owned and operated by the Best family, which has been serving Delaware since 1932, when Thomas Best and Sons Inc. first opened its doors as a general store. The Bests have been affiliated with Ace Hardware since 1985, and they currently have four generations working in the family business. They also operate Best Ace Hardware stores in Lewes, Milford, Harrington and Milton.
