Beth McDonald and Joe Holt to tell love stories through song Jan. 7

Joe Holt and Beth McDonald will be performing at 8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 7, at the Milton Theatre.

Holt and McDonald each tell stories of love through their music - McDonald through the songs she writes and those she chooses to sing, and Holt from the piano, especially through his creative improvisations. Holt is an eclectic pianist known for his inventive style, and McDonald is known for her sweet, tart voice and stunning interpretations of jazz, popular and gospel standards, as well as her own material. They have worked with each other many times and have recorded an album together.
