Betty Jean Larsen, gentle, compassionate soul

Betty Jean (Warren) Larsen, having lived to the beautiful age of 94, died peacefully in her sleep in Springfield, Va., April 17, 2024. She was born in Asheville, N.C., April 1, 1930, and she moved to Delaware during WWII with her parents, Albert Charles Warren and Mary Elmira Corn Warren; and her younger sister, Patricia (Pat). She was a homemaker, office worker and business owner.

Her favorite activities included singing with her sister, listening to music, watching NASCAR, baking and gardening. She was an avid pet lover, and was a gentle and compassionate person with a happy personality who was loved by all.

She is survived by her children, Bill Jr. and Nina; nieces, Patsy Rhoades (sons Josh and Nate Zimmerman), Terri, Beth and Susan, along with their families; as well as friends in Delaware, Florida and Virginia.  

There will be a private celebration of life at a later date.
