Blooming Boutique's Trollbeads at the Beach event set Oct. 9, 10, 11
Blooming Boutique in Lewes is hosting the fifth Trollbeads at the Beach festival in Lewes Friday, Oct. 9 through Sunday, Oct. 11. Owner Micha Seto is proud that Blooming Boutique is one of the top five Trollbeads retailers in the United States.
Trollbeads is an innovative jewelry concept that tells unique stories through interchangeable, artisan-quality beads made of Murano glass, sterling silver, semi-precious stones and 18kt gold. By combining individual Trollbeads on a bracelet or necklace, the wearer can design a meaningful, one-of-a-kind jewelry piece that represents a narrative of their accomplishments, life experiences, and passions. Trollbeads started in 1976 and is the original bead-on-jewelry company.
The three-day event will be held at various locations in historic downtown Lewes. Attending this event will be American Trollbeads glass artists Gail Crosman Moore and Scott Bouwens who will demonstrate how Trollbeads are made. Both Bouwens and Moore will have presentations and demonstrations Saturday during which they will share their in-depth product knowledge and ideas on jewelry design.
The main attraction of the event are the Trollbeads. There will be more than 6,000 on hand, including a special shipment of one-of-a-kind unique glass beads from Denmark. There will be the largest selection of retired and limited-edition Trollbeads available in the United States. And for the first time, there will be an event-exclusive clasp.

At 10 a.m. Friday, the festival begins at the Lewes Blooming Boutique store. For a complimentary lunch, RSVP online. Exclusive specials including buy three beads get one free start as soon as the doors open on Friday. The first 75 attendees on Friday will receive a special welcome bag with coupons and Trollbeads goodies. Everyone who purchases $75 or more of Trollbeads can choose from a wide variety of gifts including the Trollbeads wooden jewelry box, Trollbeads at the Beach puzzle, bead pens and more. These gifts are only available Friday and only with a purchase of $75 or more.
At 2 and 7 p.m. Friday, Lorna will provide tips and techniques on how to create a leather masterpiece.
The fall Trollbeads party will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday. The event is free with online registration or an RSVP in the store. There will be a wine tasting sponsored by Teller Wines in Lewes, live music, apple pie sangria and appetizers. Purchases made Friday will count toward Saturday's mystery bag promotion.
The Trollbeads at the Beach festival main event will be held from 9 to 3:30 p.m. at Lewes Presbyterian Church on Kings Highway. There will be glass artisan demonstrations, an exclusive assortment of unique glass beads and limited-edition products.
There will be an unprecedented inventory of the newest releases including Autumn 2015 and the People’s Choice Bead releases. The Christmas release will be available for live pre-order. Access to the largest collection of retired and limited edition Trollbeads in the United States and the event clasp are exclusive to festival attendees only. A ticket is required for this event which includes a Bethany Blues catered luncheon and a special Trollbeads goody bag. This year’s goody bag includes a bead and the 2015 limited edition Trollbeads umbrella, among many other treats.
From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Blooming Boutique will be hosting their first-ever bead exchange and artisan party. Gail Crosman Moore and Scott Bouwens will be back at the store with their amazing beads and pendants available for sale. Guests may bring any beads that no longer work for their collection and exchange them among fellow collectors. Cocktails and appetizers will be served. This is a free event, but guests must attend Saturday’s ticketed event during the day to get into the party at Blooming Boutique in Lewes.
Sunday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. there will be beads and brunch design classes. Blooming Boutique will be serving brunch by Surf Bagel with mimosas and coffee on the final day of the festival at the Lewes Blooming Boutique store. Seating for the two design classes will be limited. Reservations are accepted only on a first come, first served basis.
