Bonita Elizabeth Holland Roth, loved by many
Bonita Elizabeth Holland Roth, 83, of Laurel, passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023, at Stansell House Coastal Hospice in Berlin, Md., surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 13, 1940, in Laurel, daughter of the late Harley and Margaret (Whaley) Boyce. Beloved by everyone that met her, she was a dedicated daughter, sister, aunt, mother, Grammy and Gaga. She never missed a birthday, wedding, play, or recital, nor the opportunity to tell her family and friends that she was Miss Laurel 1956. She loved traveling, family events, class reunions and luncheons with her girlfriends.
She is survived by her sons, Gregory Thomas Holland (Aida) and Brad Harlen Holland (Stefaney); grandchildren, Meghan Hill (Brian), Kaitlin Fiorentino (Anthony), Natalie Holland-Seda, Ariana Holland-Seda and Juliana Holland-Seda; great-grandchildren, Roman, Elizabeth, Griffin, Ezekiel and Ridley; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and father of her sons, Harold T. Holland; her second husband, James Roth; and her brother, Dale Boyce.
After her first husband, Harold, passed away, she married James “Jim” Roth. She is also survived by her extended family, Greg Roth (Cindy), Mark Roth (Leza), Scott Roth (Candi); and their children and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 10, at St. John’s UMC, Seaford. Pastor Tim Dukes will officiate. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
