Bonnie Carolyn Harrigan, full of life

January 15, 2025

Bonnie Carolyn Harrigan, 84, beloved mother, mom-mom, and great-mom-mom, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Lima, Pa., on April 24, 1940, Bonnie was a force of nature—loving, sassy, and full of life. Her fiery spirit was matched only by her boundless love for her family. A proud matriarch, she leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through her three children, Vaughn Harrigan Jr., Shani Harrigan and Kim Rice, her 10 grandchildren, and her 21 great-grandchildren.

Bonnie was at the heart of many gatherings, her home always a sanctuary of warmth and comfort. She was a caring, cat-loving woman who was quick to offer her opinion and sassy remarks to those who knew her. Her joy in life was found in her family, her faith, her cats and the simple pleasures of a well-lived life.

She was preceded in death by Vaughn Harrigan and is now reunited with him, watching over the family with the same love she gave in life.

Her family finds comfort in the countless memories of her love, laughter, and ways.

A Celebration of Bonnie’s Life was held Saturday, Jan. 4.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Alley Cat Allies be made in her memory.

Though she is gone from this world, Bonnie’s love and spirit will live on through the family she cherished and the lives she touched.

Rest in peace, dear Bonnie, mom, mom-mom and little mom-mom. You will forever be missed and cherished.
