Bowe named Sussex Tech Educational Support Professional of the Year

November 3, 2021

The Sussex County Vocational Technical School District announced that Jacques Bowe has been honored as its educational support professional of 2022.

“Mr. Bowe has the admiration of Sussex Tech’s students and staff members,” said Dr. Matt Donovan, Sussex Tech principal. “His exemplary reputation both at the school and in the community is a true asset to our institution.”

The Delaware State Educational Support Professional of the Year program was established by the General Assembly in 2019. It recognizes outstanding service by school employees who provide direct or indirect services to students and their families.

“Jacques Bowe’s first-rate work with students reminds me of a favorite quote from Theodore Roosevelt: ‘It is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles – the credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena.’ We are certainly fortunate to have Mr. Bowe in our arena,” said Dr. Kevin Carson, school district superintendent.

Bowe will receive an honorarium from the State of Delaware and is a nominee for the state’s educational support professional of the year award.
