Breakwater Dental to open in Lewes Aug. 1

Throughout his time in dental school at the University of Maryland, Lewes native Kyle Norwood planned to move back home and open a practice.

Norwood is back and accepting patients at Breakwater Dental, his new practice scheduled to open Monday, Aug. 1, just down the road from his alma mater Cape Henlopen High School.

“I love this community and want to provide the patients of Southern Delaware an exceptional experience,” said Norwood. The practice is going to have a unique style and feel, he said. “Our motto is, Turning the tide in dentistry, and we want to do just that. We are going to offer next level care and comfort to our patients,” said Norwood.

Inspired by boutique hotels, the office design incorporates grass cloth wallpaper, comfortable furniture and modern, sleek colors. With TVs on the walls and ceilings, patients can stream their favorite shows while in the chair.

A comfort menu awaits patients at the front desk, where they can select which comforting amenities they want during their treatments.

Norwood offers a range of dental services including general dentistry, cosmetic and Invisalign treatments, and emergency appointments.
