The 11th Annual BreastFest was held Aug. 17 at the Bottle and Cork. The event was a fundraiser for the Tyanna Foundation.
The Tyanna Foundation honors a mother’s life, love and living legacy. Tyanna Barre O’Brien lost her battle with breast cancer in 1990 at the tender age of 48. Her legacy continues today through the work of her daughters Anne, Bridget, Megan, Sara and Kate O’Brien, the founders of BreastFest. It is their commitment to awareness and prevention that inspires and leads the work of the Tyanna Foundation.
Funds were raised by a 5K in the Ten Sisters Road Race Series, plus 50 percent of the cover charge Aug. 17 also went to the Tyanna Foundation.
