Brett is focused on Delaware’s future

October 29, 2024

I am a junior at the University of Delaware and a resident of Dagsboro, and I am excited to cast my vote for Tom Brett as my next state representative for the 41st District. As a new Dagsboro resident, moving from Lewes last year, I am excited for the possibility of having a Democratic state representative for my district. I encourage others to vote for Tom Brett. It is refreshing to have a candidate who is focused on the future of our district and state.

Climate change is real, and my generation recognizes it as an existential threat to our future. Tom is committed to serious-minded discussions about our state’s energy future. He is knowledgeable about renewable energy opportunities and ready to collaborate with others in the state Legislature to meet Delaware’s emissions and renewable energy goals.

As a young person, I appreciate Tom’s commitment to diversifying our region’s economy so that the best and brightest of my generation can find good-paying jobs and build careers right here in Sussex County. The substantial investments in renewable energy can create exciting opportunities in this growing industry.

I have younger siblings still in school, and I value Tom’s dedication to improving education in Delaware. He understands that our region’s best future lies in an inclusive environment that draws on the talents of all residents. It’s encouraging to support a candidate who stands with the LGBTQ community and champions a more inclusive future for all.
