Despite a stormy weather forecast, the 24th annual British Motorcar Show unfolded at the Lewes Ferry Terminal May 4, where the Nash Metropolitan was this year’s featured marque. The show attracted 101 preregistered cars, while 11 more cars registered at the show. Typical British weather was predicted, but the rains held off until nearly 2 p.m., when the skies opened up, forcing cancelation of the highly anticipated Winners Circle parade. Nearly 1,000 spectators admired the 90 cars that arrived on the grounds and voted for their favorites in each category. Winners were selected by a popular vote of show attendees.
