Browseabout Books to host ‘World Peace Diet’ author Will Tuttle Nov. 19
ThanksLiving, the Cape Region’s annual compassion-based alternative feast, is sold out for both seatings Sunday, Nov. 18. However, the online auction site is open and continues to add exciting items for bidding. All proceeds will go to support VegRehoboth 2019, and health and wellness programs at CAMP Rehoboth.
Dr. Will Tuttle, author of “The World Peace Diet,” will be speaking and signing copies of his book at 6 p.m., Monday, Nov. 19, at Browseabout Books, 133 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Appetizers will be served courtesy of Good Earth Market.
ThanksLiving, now in its sixth year, is a profound way to celebrate the interconnectedness of all life. Plant-based eaters and carnivores interested in exploring alternative diet possibilities come together to feast on extraordinary dishes developed by area chefs especially for the day. The feast sells out every year, and participants come away from the experience full and happy. The online auction site is seeing brisk sales, and VegRehoboth has been fielding calls and emails about Tuttle’s talks the day of the feast, and again Monday at Browseabout Books. A longtime source for community, activism, and darn good reads, Browseabout Books has details and other events available on its website, www.Browseaboutbooks.com.
Tuttle is an author, PhD scholar, musician, motivational speaker and artist. “The World Peace Diet,” a groundbreaking book on compassionate living and eating, has been translated into 16 languages and revolutionized the world view of plant-based living. He writes of founding a new society based on the truth of the interconnectedness of all life, which suggests that the mass production of animals and humans’ treatment of them drives much of the world’s illnesses and diseases.
VegRehoboth is an education, advocacy, and support organization for those who are exploring or already involved in plant-based eating. VegRehoboth extends thanks to CAMP Rehoboth, Dorothy Greet, the Social and Environmental Justice Committee of Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware, Lis and Bob Haggett, Browseabout Books and Good Earth Market.
