Call for entries in youth environmental film contest

April 5, 2024

Calling all young filmmakers! Are you passionate about the environment? Do you want to make a difference? Showcase your creativity and passion for environmental issues facing Sussex County!

The Sussex Preservation Coalition's Youth Environmental Film Contest is a platform for high school students in Delaware to use the power of film to drive change and to inspire action on environmental issues in Sussex County. It’s an opportunity for students to voice their concerns and share their ideas about how to preserve our natural resources. Students can work solo or in a team and need a supervising adult.

The first-place prize is $1,000, second place $500, and third place $300, plus recognition at the next Sussex Preservation Coalition meeting with a Digital Film Award Certificate that winners can use with applications, and the chance to make an impact in Sussex County!

Details about the contest and how to register can be found at SussexPreservationCoalition.org. Registration is due by Sunday, April 14. Entrants can continue to revise their registration until they submit their film, and film submissions are due by Monday, May 6.
