CAMP Rehoboth to host AIDS exhibit reception and film Dec. 1

November 25, 2017

For the month of December, the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center will host AIDS in the City and at Home, an art exhibit that explores themes of community, caretaking, family and everyday activism. AIDS in the City and at Home will open in conjunction with World AIDS Day Friday, Dec. 1, with an Art Open House at CAMP Rehoboth from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

For this exhibition, works by New York documentary photographer Vincent Cianni will be coupled with pieces by Washington, D.C.-area artists J.S Adams, Michael Muller and Frederick Nunley.

Cianni's work documenting the early years of the AIDS crisis recently appeared in an exhibition at the Museum of the City of New York. The multimedia works of Adams, Muller and Nunley bring the current-day, contemporary perspective to the show at CAMP Rehoboth. The documentary "A Place in the City – Three Stories about HIV" will also be shown.

The CAMP Rehoboth Community Center is located at 37 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach. For more information, go to www.camprehoboth.org.
