Cape cheerleaders attend NCA Camp

The Cape Henlopen High School coed cheerleading squad attended National Cheerleaders Association Camp at Lake Bryn Mawr in Honesdale, Pa., Aug. 11-14. They returned to Lewes with the Superior Routine Award, The Herkie Award, NCA Spirit Stick, and stunt and jump awards. Cheerleaders earned 17 All-American nominations, and two earned All-American honors. They are coached by Courtney Brand, Courtney Hennessey and Ne’Kea Thomas. The cheerleading squad will kick off the football season Friday, Sept. 6, at Legends Stadium.
