Editor’s note: The Friday, March 13 Cape High performance of “Frostiana” has been canceled.

Cape Henlopen High School's premier choral ensemble, Cape Chorale, will perform Randall Thompson's "Frostiana" with the Delaware Symphony Orchestra at 7 p.m., Friday, March 13, at Cape Henlopen High School.

The performance is free and open to the public.

Composed in 1959 by Thompson, “Frostiana” is based on selected poems written by Robert Frost and is considered an important piece of the American 20th century choral repertoire.

“We are fortunate to be able to collaborate with the Delaware Symphony Orchestra on this piece,” said Marian Sunnergren, chorus director and music teacher at Cape Henlopen High School. “We were able to make this happen courtesy of a Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation grant, and our students are looking forward to sharing it with the community, their peers and their families.”
