Cape district holds fifth-grade science fair

The following are the results for the Cape Henlopen School District Fifth-Grade Science Fair held April 7 at Rehoboth Beach Convention Center:

Earth and Space Science

Good for the Gulf by Zane Rego Kesler of Rehoboth Elementary, first place; Fluorescent Flowers/Fact or Fiction? by Toni DeBastiani  of Milton Elementary, second place; Crystals by Jose Rios of HO Brittingham Elementary, third place.

Life Science

Get Out and Play or Stay in for the Day by Ryan Head of Rehoboth Elementary, first place; Video Games by Zach Gelof  of Rehoboth Elementary, second place; What Effects do Earthworms have on Plant Growth? By Kyile Clark of Milton Elementary, third place; Which Treats do Dogs Prefer? by Caitlyn Lewis of Milton Elementary, honorable mention.

Physical Science

Invincible Bubbles by Lee-elle Aboutboul of Rehoboth Elementary, first place; Slip, Sliding Away by Randy Rickards of Milton Elementary, second place; Wrath of the Onion by Megha Patel of Rehoboth Elementary, third place; Nuts for Energy by Mia Meacci of Rehoboth Elementary, honorable mention; The Bubble Effects by Shantraille Horsey of HO Brittingham Elementary, honorable mention.

Consumer Product Science
