Cape Henlopen Elks provide Thanksgiving baskets for 20 local families

Thanks to a $2,000 grant from the Elks National Federation and the generosity of Acme Market, Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540 supplied 20 local families with large baskets of food. The baskets included turkey and ham for Thanksgiving dinners.
The Elks National Federation coordinator is Gale Brand, and Joanne Fry is the assistant. Project coordinators were Jack and Lisa Travis. Acme Market gave a generous discount for the purchase of the food, and donated hams, turkeys and food bags.
