Cape Henlopen Elks thank volunteers

October 31, 2022

Volunteers for Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540 were able to sit down and enjoy themselves while others did the work Oct. 15. To thank them for their help throughout the year, the Elks House Committee hosted an evening of light fare, music and beverages.

Volunteers appreciated the expressions of gratitude shown to them, but were equally enthralled by the Phillies game on the big screen as they clinched the National League championship.

The house committee members are grateful for their unselfish dedication and hard work. Buddy Hall-McBride, house committee chair, publicly thanked all in attendance, with a special nod to Volunteer Coordinator Terrie Bradley.

This has been and continues to be an exemplary year for Cape Elks, thanks in great part to its incredible team of volunteers. Without hesitation, they have stepped up to the task and have made every event, big and small, a success.

Elizabeth Andrew, Habitat for Humanity team leader, said, “Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.”
