Cape Vikings Pop Warner squad celebrates season
Cape Vikings Pop Warner’s 8-and-under team had an outstanding fall season, finishing 7-0 in the regular season, earning the Henlopen Conference crown and advancing to the regional playoffs. Although they lost in the second round, they put up a good fight in freezing temperatures. Players, coaches and parents celebrated the successful season at a team banquet held April 9 at Grotto Pizza in Rehoboth Beach.
The team is coached by Barry Barlow with help from assistants Blake Hershelman, Richard Lantz, Mike Sanchez, Chris Pagano, Cory Wideman and Justin Fehrenbach. Team manager is Amanda Lantz.
Players on the team include Brayden Barlow, Leo Barr, Devon Bauerle, Reed Bennett, Lincoln Burritt, Jamari Deputy, Josias Dukes, Kingston Fehrenbach, Landyn Fothergill, Ian Glade, Grant Hershelman, Jeremiah Hutchinson, Finn Kane, Ryder Kauffman, Zamarion Lamb, Gus Lantz, Jordan Marks, MJ Miller, Landon Mills, Ryker Mistretta, Cain Pagano, Ben Pease, Curtis Reinhart, Chase Sanchez, Mac Schilling, John Sherman, Lucas Skonieczki, Javion Turnage, Gabe Wideman, Nick Williams and Mason Woodyard.
