In a hard-nosed match Jan. 6, the Sussex Central wrestling team outlasted Cape with a 34-28 victory on its home mat.
Earning wins for Cape were Joel Torres (195), Gabriel Jaquet (113), Anthony Caruso (120), Max Norquest (126), Cory Lawson (160) and Holden Kammerer (182).
The Golden Knights won eight of the contest's 14 matches. Taking down Vikings' wrestlers were John Morris (220), Victor Ecruz (285), Yony Garcia (106), Drew Morris (132), Mark Tolson (138), Justin Bennett (145), Brandon Bautista (152) and Lucas Hudson (170).
