Carol M. Katz, loved Delaware beaches
Carol M. Katz of Milford was ushered into the Lord’s presence Monday, July 15, 2024.
She was born Dec. 21, 1948, in Onley, Md., to the late Perry and C. Emily Burton.
Carol was a proud graduate of Lewes High School and received her associate’s degree in applied science at Georgetown University and her undergraduate hours at University of Delaware.
Her career as a social worker lasted 15 years, before retiring in 2006.
Carol filled her free time with good friends, cooking, music, and her love for animals. But her true love was her time spent at the beautiful beaches in Delaware.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy L. Evans.
Carol is survived by her granddaughter, Kelsey and wife Crystal Evans; and a great-granddaughter, Aria Evans of Dagsboro; a brother, Leslie L. Burton of Sarasota, Fla.; and a niece, Blythe Burton-Teed.
A service to celebrate Carol’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, July 29, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends and family may gather after 12 p.m. The family is requesting everyone wear bright colors in memory of Carol.
