Celebrating freedom with banquet, festival
First-of-its-kind event sponsored by Sussex County Republican Committee

The inaugural Delaware Freedom Festival, sponsored by the Sussex County Republican Committee, featured a banquet and speakers at the Rusty Rudder Oct. 7, followed by a full day of activities at Hudson Fields Oct. 8. The event included speakers, candidates, vendors, a petting zoo, entertainment, car rallies and a Delaware State Police K-9 demonstration. Among the speakers Oct. 8 was retired U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Oliver North, a Vietnam War veteran, best-selling author, political commentator and TV host.
