Celtic to Classical performances rescheduled for Aug. 20-22

August 13, 2024

The Celtic to Classical ensemble’s three Southern Delaware appearances have been rescheduled, as one of the performers tested positive for COVID-19.

New performance dates are Tuesday, Aug. 20, at Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 Church St., Milford; Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach; and Thursday, Aug. 22, at St. Martha’s Episcopal Church, 117 Maplewood St., Bethany Beach.

All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of ticketed admission, Celtic to Classical accepts a freewill offering, with a suggested contribution of $15. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Performances were originally scheduled for Aug. 13 to 15

“We apologize for inconveniencing audience members, but appreciate their understanding, as well as the flexibility of the congregations that provide our venues,” said Sheridan Seyfried, Celtic to Classical co-founder. “We look forward to sharing entertaining and inspiring music, and doing so in good health.”

Joining Seyfried are Ya-Jhu Yang, Celtic to Classical co-founder, and flutist Pam Pecko Smith. The programs will include classical, Celtic and French music, as well as selections from the Great American Songbook and an original composition by Seyfried.

Now in its ninth season of summertime performances at the Delaware beaches, Celtic to Classical is inspired by the musical eclecticism of Andrea Clearfield’s Philadelphia Salon concerts and motivated by a desire to find joy in different modes of musical expression.
