Center for the Inland Bays leader running for a cause
To support the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays’ Do More 24 Delaware campaign Thursday and Friday, March 2 and 3, Mark Carter, CIB director of development, will be running across the Indian River Inlet bridge and back every two hours for 24 consecutive hours. His charity run will cover 24 total miles.
Do More 24 Delaware is a 24-hour fundraising marathon that invites the public to support their favorite Delaware nonprofits by donating through their individual giving pages. Supporters have the opportunity to create their own fundraisers to raise money for the nonprofit of their choice.
The center’s Do More 24 goal is to raise $32,500 to support its mission to preserve, protect and restore Delaware’s Inland Bays. The Delaware Inland Bays (Indian River, Rehoboth, Little Assawoman) are a treasured resource for recreational boating, fishing and kayaking, and home to families who live on their shorelines. The bays also provide critical habitat for diverse fish and wildlife including horseshoe crabs, oysters, blue crabs and diamondback terrapins.
