Chabad of Southern Delaware invites members of the Jewish community in Sussex County to join the annual Shabbat under The Stars at 6:45 p.m., Friday, Aug. 2, at 17032 Minos Conaway Road, Lewes. The cherished tradition celebrating community, faith, and unity provides an enriching experience for all attendees.
The event will commence with Shabbat services, creating a serene and spiritual ambiance under the night sky. Following services, guests will enjoy a seated, traditional Shabbat dinner. This gathering offers a unique opportunity to connect with fellow Jews, experience the beauty of Shabbat, and strengthen community bonds.
Guest lecturer David Nesenoff will deliver a thought-provoking program on dealing with anti-Semitism and transforming it, especially in the context of a post-October 7 reality.
"We are excited to gather once again for 'Shabbat under The Stars' and to welcome David Nesenoff to our community," said Rabbi Vogel, director Of Chabad of Southern Delaware. "This event is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together, reflect on our shared experiences, and find strength and inspiration in our faith and community."
This event is open to all members of the Jewish community in Sussex County. We encourage everyone to join us for an evening of reflection, connection, and celebration.
The deadline to RSVP is Tuesday, July 30. To sign up, go to JewishSouthernDelaware.com/stars.
