Charles 'Charlie' D. Lee, CAMP volunteer

Charles “Charlie” D. Lee, 73, of Milton, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015, at his home. He was born Oct. 1, 1941, in Trenton, N.J., son of the late Harry H.,Jr. and Margaret J. (Erwin) Lee.

Charlie was a 1959 graduate of Morrisville High School in Morrisville, Pa. He received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Penn State in 1963, and was a CPA. From 1964-66, he served proudly in the U.S. Army. Upon his honorable discharge, Charlie embarked upon a lifelong career at Superior Group Inc. where most of his years he served as treasurer. He was a dedicated employee who always devoted countless hours to his profession. Charlie retired in 2000 as director of human resources and vice president.

Charlie enjoyed volunteering at Beebe Healthcare for two years and later became a full-time Volunteer Extraordinaire at CAMP Rehoboth. In 2009, Charlie put his heart and soul into overseeing CAMP's Membership Committee. Because of his successful efforts, in just a few years CAMP Rehoboth's membership took off beyond dreams. Recently the membership dues reached $1,000,000! Charlie made the program his passion and the entire community has benefited from the results of his efforts.

Charlie also enjoyed traveling, spending time at the beach and going to museums. He was an avid art and glassware collector. He loved spending time with his family especially during the holidays. Charlie will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, John Pietrocarlo. He is survived by his brother, H. Robert Lee and his wife Donna of New Hope, Pa.; twin sisters: Nancy L. Pietrocarlo of Yardley, Pa. and Peggy Gillis and her husband Lonnie of Chesterton, Ind.; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; and great-great-nieces and -nephews.

Memorial Services will be held Sunday, June 7,  at 2 p.m., at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach. Interment will be private at Morrisville Cemetery in Morrisville, Pa. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.

Memorial contributions may be made in Charlie's memory to CAMP Rehoboth, 37 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
