Charles Crossley Jr., veteran, man of faith

Charles "Bryan" Crossley Jr., 86, previously from Elkton, Md., passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, in Millsboro. He was born July 22, 1938, in Havre de Grace, Md. Bryan graduated from Northeast High School in Northeast, Md.

Bryan honorably served in the Army for three years, dedicating his time and skills to his country. Following his military service, he embarked on a career as a quality control inspector at DuPont Company in Newark, where his meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence were highly valued.

Bryan was an active member of Rock Presbyterian Church and Cherry Hill Methodist Church in Elkton, Md., and later Bay Shore Community Church in Rehoboth Beach. His faith and involvement in his church community were central to his life.

He had a passion for the outdoors and various hobbies, including carving birds, bow hunting, boating on the Bohemian River, and playing video games. Above all, spending time with his family brought him the greatest joy.

Bryan will be remembered for his dedication to his faith, family, and community. His legacy of service and love will continue to inspire all those who knew him.

Bryan is preceded in death by his son, Christopher Crossley; and his sister, Bobbi Ann Crossley. He is survived by his wife, Beth Crossley; son, Bryan Crossley (Jeanette); daughter, Beth Crossley (Steven); four grandchildren, CJ (Kayleigh), Bryan William (Marion), Ashley (Neko) and Katie (Brian); and 12 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Rock Presbyterian Church, 30 Rock Church Road, Elkton, Md. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AccentCare Hospice, Milford; or Rock Presbyterian Church.
