Charlie Zahm to perform Celtic Christmas music Dec. 17
Groome Church will host musician Charlie Zahm playing a concert of Celtic Christmas music at 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 17, at 601 Savannah Road, Lewes.
The evening will also thank and celebrate the Choir School of Delaware for the many services it provides to children ages 7 to 17, including programs combining music education and performance opportunities.
“We are always pleased to have Mr. Zahm with us, especially at this time of the year. This will be Charlie’s seventh time performing in Lewes before what is certain to be an appreciative, enthusiastic, capacity audience,” said the Rev. Dr. S. Willard Crossan, Groome pastor. “Groome is very much committed to supporting the choral arts, having presented Washington Master Chorale, Cantabile Women’s Chorus and most recently the Choralis Chamber Ensemble Ēchos. It is my hope that the good and important work of the Delaware Choir School will foster lifelong interest in and an appreciation of choral arts among their students, and that one day some of them will perform at Groome as part of a professional choral organization.”
Tickets are $20 payable by cash or check at the door.
