Checking out an ancient library with the Gazette in Turkey

August 17, 2024

Long live libraries! Thanks to some inspiring Cape Region librarians for this shot: Caroline from Milton Public Library, Emily from Lewes Public Library, and Debbie from the Cape Henlopen High School. In March, Michael Hagan traveled with Viking Ocean Cruises to the Library of Celsus in Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey.  This ancient marvel was commissioned during 10CE and once housed 12,000 scrolls.  The Cape Gazette is easier to read than a scroll!
