CHEER held its Annual Beach Day Sept. 24 in Rehoboth Beach. The event featured a Health Expo in the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, a fundraising stroll from the convention center to the Bandstand, and music at the Bandstand.
This year’s Beach Day was held in memory of former director of the Division of Services for the Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities and founder of Beach Day Eleanor Cain.
Cain, who was director from 1973 to 2001 and was appointed to her position by four different governors, passed away at her home April 8 at the age of 85.

Leading the stroll to the Bandstand are (l-r) CHEER Vice President Walter Koopman, Cain family members Randie Albright and John Paradee, and CHEER COO Beckett Wheatley.

Seniors from throughout Delaware browse the various Health Expo vendors’ wares in the convention center.

Home Care Consultant Alicia Currier from Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care greets Adele Morris at her booth.
