Chicken barbecue fundraiser in Ellendale set Oct. 29

To celebrate the success of the long campaign for clean water, the Ellendale Community Civic Improvement Association will hold a chicken barbecue fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, 18211 Beach Highway, Ellendale.

In addition to barbecue chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks will be available. Beebe Healthcare representatives will also be on hand to administer COVID tests and vaccinations, and flu shots.

The community’s continued support is appreciated.as ECCIA begins another project having 10 house trailers renovated from uninhabitable conditions to become homes. News members are always welcome.

Barbecue chicken platters are $10 and include baked beans, chips and drink. Kids’ platters are $6. Hot dogs and hamburgers are $1 each. Cash or checks are payable to ECCIA , Ellendale Community Civic Improvement Association. Anyone who is not able to attend and would like to make a monetary donation, may mail checks to ECCIA, P.O. Box 327, Ellendale, DE 19941.
