Christopher Dean, a scout with Boy Scout Troop 1 and Sea Scout Ship 198, recently celebrated his achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouts.
Dean joined in 2010 and has remained active in scouting through the years. For his Eagle project, he built an agility course for a local dog park.
Dean has participated in youth leadership training, and he traveled to Canada as part of his troop’s Northern Tier high adventure crew. He attended the National Jamboree in 2017 and will be returning to West Virginia for participation in the upcoming World Jamboree.
Dean, age 15, is a sophomore at Sussex Tech High School, where he is a member of the marching band. After high school, he plans to attend college to pursue a career in the computer field.
