Large crowd takes part in variety of activities during second open house at Station 2 in Nassau

A large crowd, with a lot of youngsters, attended the second Lewes Fire Department open house Oct. 21 at Station 2 in Nassau to celebrate Fire Prevention Month. The event included a scavenger hunt, equipment and vehicle displays, fire prevention giveaways, demonstrations on fire response and car extrication, food trucks, CPR instruction, a drone demonstration and the popular smoke house.

Jayden Williams of Lewes is so excited to be around fire trucks, he barely has time to stop for a photograph.
