May 21, 2017

Danielle Panarello, director of operations for The Clubhouse at Baywood, a full-service restaurant located in Baywood Greens, recently announced the appointment of Lisa Chambers to the position of general manager and Tom Deptula to executive chef. Both have extensive experience in the hospitality industry.

Located on a public golf course in Long Neck, The Clubhouse is now part of the SoDel Concepts hospitality group, which owns 10 restaurants from Lewes to Fenwick Island.

"We are gearing up for the busy and exciting summer season at The Clubhouse," Panarello said. "Chef Tom's menu is built around fresh, local products. Lisa and her staff are ready to showcase our newly renovated restaurant and offer the best in service."

Chambers, a Delaware native who started her hospitality career at age 16, has worked in some of the area's finest establishments. The University of Delaware graduate is equally known for her art, which has been exhibited in Rehoboth Beach. She is an art docent at Shields Elementary School in Lewes. In her spare time, she loves spending time on the beach with her two children.

Deptula, also a native Delawarean, has been cooking for more than 20 years. The University of Delaware graduate, who earned a degree in philosophy, has worked his way up from sweeping floors to leading the kitchens in some of the most celebrated restaurants in the resort area. Meanwhile, he traveled extensively, and his experiences have given him an appreciation for a variety of cuisines. Making charcuterie is a passion. He also hunts and fishes. He describes his style as "simple coastal American."

In addition to offering lunch and dinner, The Clubhouse features banquet services for weddings and special events. For reservations or more information call 302-947-9225 or visit baywoodclubhouse.com.
