Coach Nancy Tribbitt steps off as head coach of Sussex Tech field hockey

Nancy Tribbitt, the head coach of field hockey at Sussex Tech, has retired from her position, according to a reliable source.

Tribbitt won two state championships in the sport, leading the Ravens to titles in 2009 and 2010.  She met with the team to inform them of her decision.

She has been teaching and coaching for 31 years, first at Milford, before moving to Sussex Tech.

Back in 1973, then Nancy "Squeak” Steen was the point guard on the Cape girls' basketball team and helped the Vikings win a state championship the very first year of the state tournament.

The position of head field hockey coach will be advertised both inside and outside the school district.
