Clothing Our Kids’ pizza party registration due July 19

Clothing Our Kids will host a pizza party from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 26, at the Peninsula Nature Center, 33342 Marina Bay Circle, Millsboro.

The organization will thank its volunteers and welcome new ones or anyone wishing to know more about Clothing Our Kids.

This local, 100 percent volunteer-run organization provides clothing, shoes and coats to at-risk elementary school children throughout Sussex County at no charge. It works exclusively with school nurses at all 34 Sussex County elementary schools, because they are the people most familiar with the children’s family histories.

Founded in Millsboro in 2012, Clothing Our Kids provided approximately 850 items to 150 students that year. Since then, COK has been able to help more than 26,000 kids with over 150,000 items of clothing. Clothing Our Kids never wants to say no to a child in need because of lack of resources.
