Connie Anne O’Neal, retired accountant

Connie Anne O’Neal, 77, of Millville went home to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, while surrounded by her loving family at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.

Connie was born in Ocean View March 28, 1942, daughter of the late Willis Warren Mitchell and the late Frances Elizabeth (Murray) Mitchell.  She was a graduate of Lord Baltimore High School class of 1960, and also attended Wesley College and Delaware State University.  

Connie was an accountant and retired from Crowley Associates in 2006.  She was a faithful member of Mariner’s Bethel United Methodist Church in Ocean View.  Connie will be remembered for her wonderful personality and her beautiful smile that would light up a room.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Alan Cohee Jr. and a great-granddaughter, Lauren Foxwell.  Connie is survived by her three children, Theresa Palmer (Timmy) of Frankford, Faith Foxwell (Scott) of Millville and James Cohee (Renée) of St. Louis, Mo.; six grandchildren, Travis Layton, Tara Matthews, Eric Foxwell, Ryan Foxwell, Wesley Cohee and Mitchell Cohee; a great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Matthews; and two brothers, Kendall Mitchell (Sherry) of Millsboro and John Mitchell (Mary Anne) of Millsboro. 

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 9, at Mariner’s Bethel United Methodist Church, 81 Central Ave., Ocean View, where friends and family may call after 10 a.m.  Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Connie’s name to Mariner’s Bethel United Methodist Church at the above address.
