At 5:30 p.m., Thursday, May 9, Deny Howeth, local photographer and artist, will use a vintage postcard image and an 11-inch piece of wood from the Rehoboth Boardwalk to teach students how to create a piece of memorabilia to take home.
When sections of the Boardwalk were replaced, not all of the wood removed was in bad condition. The Rehoboth Beach Museum was able to acquire some salvaged pieces.
Class size is limited to 10 people. If time allows, students will create a smaller transfer piece using different materials. Space is limited, so reservations are required. Call 302-227-7310 to ensure a space. The fee is $40, which includes materials and the piece of the boardwalk.
The museum is located at 511 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach. For more information go to www.rehobothbeachmuseum.org or call 302-227-7310.
