Creative journaling presentation with Amy Latta set March 15

March 8, 2022

Artist, author and crafter Amy Latta will join the Lewes Public Library and Browseabout Books for an online discussion of her new book, “Practice Makes Progress: My Creative Journal” at 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, via Zoom.

Latta will demonstrate how to use this interactive guided journal and share a conversation with Mandy Graham of “The Crafting Edit.”

Latta’s interactive journal encourages readers to awaken the artists within themselves by abandoning perfectionism and getting in touch with their creative sides. Through a series of evocative prompts, readers are encouraged to write reflections on questions and create art right inside the book. Packed with bite-size guided exercises, inspirational quotes, bordered blank pages and personal stories, Latta’s journal inspires readers to embrace self-expression and explore new steps in their creative journeys.

Latta is a hand-lettering artist, writer, home décor crafter, and the author of the bestseller “Hand Lettering for Relaxation,” among other books. Her hand-lettering designs have been featured nationally by brands such as Starbucks, GAP and Target.

Registration is required at the Lewes Public Library website, lewes.lib.de.us, or tinyurl.com/zoomwithauthors.

Participants are encouraged to support the authors by purchasing a copy of the book from local independent bookstore Browseabout Books. Each copy will be signed. Orders may be placed online at browseaboutbooks.com, by calling the store at 302-226-2665, or in person at 133 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach.
