Annual Developing Artist Collaboration event features works of local artisans

Crowds flocked to Dewey Beach for three days over Thanksgiving weekend to sample local libations and purchase items crafted by local artisans at the 7th annual Dewey Sip & Shop hosted by Developing Artist Collaboration.
More than 70 local artisans displayed their wares and musicians entertained attendees in a new and expanded location along Dagsworthy Avenue.

More than 70 artists displayed an array of art, wood crafts, jewelry, tile, photography woven goods, clothing, soaps and other collections from Nov. 26-28.
The 7th annual Dewey Sip & Shop took place in a long tent in a new location on Dagsworthy Avenue.
Local photographer Elliot MacGuire offered a selection of beach-themed framed photos and calendars.
Magician Jack Noel was on hand to sign copies of his children’s book, “Little Red Truck at the Beach.”

Beer candles were among several unique items offered by Sarah Betlejewski of The Craft G.
DAC board member Heidi Lowe presents a collection of fine crafted jewelry.
Peeking between her homemade ceramics is illustrator and textile designer Emily Widdoes, who also offered woven blankets and prints.
Cape Region themes prevail in crafts offered by Happy Camper Design Company.
What would Sip & Shop be without the sipping? Attendees could choose from among a host of creative libations.

Dewey Beach Town Manager Bill Zolper sold popular souvenir tags and lifetime dog licenses.
