Cynthia Ann Galloway, never met a stranger

Cynthia Ann Galloway, 68, of Lewes, passed away at her residence Thursday, June 1, 2023. She was born June 25, 1954, in Bridgeport, Conn., daughter of the late Fred and Bernice (Smith) Cornwell.

Cynthia graduated from Frederick Community College with her associate degree and went into the dental industry. She first worked as a dental assistant, later becoming the office manager of her husband's practice, Thomas J. Galloway DDS. When they retired to Lewes in 2015, Mr. and Mrs. Galloway enjoyed life at the beach. She was very active in their community, Angola by the Bay, and even joined their book club. If you knew Cynthia, you know she never met a stranger. She had the gift of gab, talking to anyone she could strike up a conversation with. Her friendly spirit was infectious and made everyone she encountered comfortable and at ease. Cynthia’s outgoing and charismatic ways will be missed by all who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who left a mark on the hearts of those she loved.

In addition to her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Cornwell Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Thomas J. Galloway of Lewes; her beloved daughter, Stephanie Coleman and her husband Christopher of Stewartstown, Pa.; her prized grandchildren, Mia and Christopher Jr.; and her sister, Kris Neser.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
